Thuan's first sermon in church

Tonight Thuan first spoke in church after 2 months partnering with the church. He did the narrative preaching on Luke 19:1-10. It was also my first time listening to him doing narrative preaching. I am thankful to God that He has provided opportunity for Thuan to practice his God-given gift. Thuan learned a lot from his preparing for the sermon. He has committed to preach with at least 8 hour preparation.

The sermon challenged the audience to overcome barriers and difficulties to come to Jesus Christ and also to have the proper response worthy with their repentance.

It's a BoY!

Today we went for our baby monthly check-up. We came to know through the doctor that I am bearing a baby Boy. We know God's will is perfect in spite of what our culture says, we believe it's Him who brings people into existence, either male or female.

Pregnancy is a journey. Day after day I experience something new. And being first time pregnant, everything is new to me. This journey is full of joy, excitement, and amazement. I am wondering what my Mom went through when she was bearing me. I heard from her that my Dad was far from home for his training during that time and she missed him so much. My Dad also missed Mom and me, too. He even composed a poem, titled "My dear little daughter Na." (My family call me "Na") Up till now, he still uses that title to start the letters written to me. How sweet!

However, my parents back then were not yet believers of Christ. We are now both servants of God. I pray that we will be God-fearing parents to our child and children later.

A wedding to celebrate and to be reminded!

We just know each other through yahoo 360 but I later discovered that she has a big heart for God and her husband comes from my hometown. These common things connect us together.

Attending her wedding, I was reminded of how God brought Thuan and me to one another. We know God has a purpose and reason on our marriage.

Thuan must be sad on his birthday!

Yesterday was Thuan's birthday.
Few days ago, I got sick.
First time experiencing sickness during the pregnancy made Thuan and me frightened. We prayed hard, expecting God's touching hand. Meo, our loved sister was with us, trying all ways to help me overcome the pain, ache so that I could sleep for a while but I could not. We came to see the doctor on the morning after that, I could get a bit better afterwards.
Thuan's birthday was coming, I could not do anything or even to buy a gift that made him happy. Our house was crowded with my family members and my brother, Daniel, and his friends. They had all come from a long way to see him off on that very day. My mom cooked a meal for us, she made that for Thuan's birthday, too. How I wished I could do something...!

A birthday passed...

I was tired, sad, and frustrated..! I felt so sorry to my husband. But that special day flied. I could not have it again. What if...?!

Yesterday we sent my brother to the States for his training in worship music. He is the fourth one in my family. God has gifted him with some gifts in art. He can paint well and we thought of making him to be a painter but the path had split when he could not enter our national university. God provided him opportunity to be trained in music area where he is gifted, too.
We hope to see him again after two years. Living so far from home, we just can entrust him into our Heavenly Father's hand.

Today was my first time wearing the colthes for pregnant lady.

It feels so good!
I think everyone is the same but why I was feeling so different?!

What a new experience!
