Meditation & QT Seminar
We though it would be good for our church to study about Mediation and Quiet Time so we organized this seminar. 16 members show up for this event. We were taught the importance of QT and the nature of true QT. We were privileged to have a good speaker who is a good example for us in the area. He has come with a big heart for Vietnam and for us, our church member. It's so interesting to see our church members to learn the "meditation" concept for the first time. We are excited to see how we can apply principles that we have learned in our personal walk with God.
We all committed to spend 30 minutes everyday to seek God.
Dear Co-workers in Christ, We can’t express in words how much we are grateful to God for what He has done in the month of July when we had 2 important events for our church to be completed the first steps as an official church. God had blessed us with a powerful and touching first Baptism ceremony in July 17. We all cried in tears when we heard testimonies of God’s touching power upon our converts’ lives and also the commitments they had made to follow Jesus despite costs. Next, in July 28, He allowed us to launch our church before the witness of some key Christianity leaders in Ho Chi Minh City. His Name was again glorified through testimonies and songs of praise that our new members offered. We are grateful that He is somehow using us to expand His Kingdom and to continue nurturing vision for the future of Vietnam with the desire this people will turn to Him in repentance and adoration. We also acknowledge your great support in prayer and giving to help our mission. Thank you for all of your labor! We are being sustained by His grace and by your lifting-up. We appreciate that, our dear co-workers in Christ’s harvest! We pray for you, your home, your ministry and work that He will see you through all seasons of life and bless you abundantly.

PRAISE & PRAYER ITEMS
1.We thank God for giving us a name: Antioch Evangelical Church (AEC). We pray that we will be like the ancient Antioch in living a Christ-likeness’s life and sending many missionaries to save the nations.
2.We thank God for all provisions that He has provided through His men and women of generosity. Please pray that He will bless our partners so that they may enjoy His abundant blessings both financially and spiritually.
3.We praise God for our three new converts that being persecuted but have been taking the stand for God against their family’s order to forsake the faith. Please pray for God’s strength, power, and perseverance upon them.
4.We praise God for the blessed Baptism and Opening Ceremony. Please pray for the Lead-Team to have a clear and great vision and strategy from God to develop AEC.
2 days before Thuan's birthday, I asked some of our youth if they wanted to surprise him. We came to the decision of making that at 00:01 am of his birthday, they would come to sing happy birthday to him. Agree! I then secretly cooked some food. Our sister bought the birthday cake, balloon and candles were well prepared. We sent messages back and forth to update if things were ready for them to come to our place. But guess what? Thuan did not go to bed until 11:55. It was not him at all! And when he came to bed, he did not sleep but kept talking to figure out what I would do for him tomorrow. I said we would date out and eat his favorite food. And since he did not sleep, I could not tell our youth to come in. As a result of that, they suffered beaten by mosquitoes and guess what? The neighbors' dogs started barking. And Thuan understood that some people must be outside.

Well, we had a great time to somehow surprise him and express our appreciation to him as a pastor, discipler, brother, and a friend to us.
This is the fifth year of our marriage and we thank God for our first baby boy who was born in Jan 30, 2009. We name him Kairos in Greek and Thiên Kỳ in Vietnamese, both mean "God's appointed time" with our expectation and desire to see the revival that will take place in our land in God's appointed time. To be called "VCofGod'skingdom," Thuan and I are doing our best in all God entrusted, believing that He will take care the rest. We are now pastoring AEC, a young church which was launched last July 27, 2010 and serving with Evangelism Explosion (EE).
