2nd Baptism Ceremony

13 lives, 13 testimonies, 13 songs of praise to God for how He works in their hearts and saves them. During the ceremony, Thuan asked 2 questions for them to confirm their salvation through Christ's death. All of them claimed joyfully and gratefully because Christ died for them to inherit eternal blessings.
What we thank God for Baptism Ceremony in our church is that the new believers voluntarily and eagerly to receive baptism. They honor it and they look forward to it with appropriate understanding about baptism. Indeed, God is good to us and to these new wonderful people!

H20 Retreat and Planning

After the a quarter striving for the first goals of AEC Master Planning (since October 17), we spent a day outside to have fun, team building activities, and evaluating, and also planning for the next quarter. Each of 9 was requested to share one thing about her or him that others might not know. Those secrets were funny, stupid, and crazy. I can feel the sense of trust and openness strengthening in our team.
There were many praises giving to God for what He has done in and through AEC in the last 3 months of 2010, many objectives were reached and even reached in a higher result; many growth and passion were formed and strengthened in the Lead Team members of a young church and a young team. One of the highlights of God's great work for AEC is with evangelism ministry, we reached 21 people in 3 months, making our church number from 44 to 65, nearly double the set goal and 15 of them are walking with God. Praise Him!
We then spent a quality time to plan for the next 3 months of AEC. With all of our awe to God's power and all of joy, excitement and enthusiasm to God, we expect the greatest things are yet to come in our church.

Picnic with God 2011

In our monthly Prayer & Fasting Day, we went out to the park and spend the day with God. We spent time to thank God for each other because of their heart, gifts, and strengths. We also shared how major events in 2010 impacted our lives. I personally thank God because each of them. Half of our church members attend prayer meetings regularly and we have seen how God makes them grow in Him.

Prayer Commission for the 1st Staff of AEC

Linh (Kats) becoming the first staff of AEC is a great blessing for AEC and also a turning point of AEC growth. Linh was our disciple, sister, and a good friend for almost 10 years and we have been nurturing our passion and dream together since college. She has a great heart to bring people in the upright worship with her gift and profession in music. She is extremely gifted with a servant heart and her sacrificial works has blessed many lives, including us. More wonderfully she was one of the other two who started AEC with us. Now, as she expressed her commitment to serve full time in AEC, we are so blessed to pray and appoint her as the first staff of AEC. She is now in charge of training ministry and Sunday Service in our church. And she will be overseeing the Bible Project with Lost Orphans International (LOI) which will be distributing over 10,000 Bibles in the next 5 years for the Vietnamese.
And guess what, Jan 02 is her 28th birthday and she has been enjoying her singleness with a pure heart of trusting God for her marriage that all of us can be witnesses.
Appreciation from church members
In that service, we also appointed and pray for a new treasurer, Thuy, since the former one, Deborah Tram will be giving birth real soon. (She is not the official staff yet).

Wonderful New Year Eve

We had a great night having fun and barbecue. As a church with a lot of youth, the PR & Sport Team are always creative with many exciting activities. In these such events, we often have non-believing friends joining and we are grateful that most of them come back second time to know more about God. For this night, we had 8 non-believing friends came. Each of us was asked a tricky question and if we had the most funnies answer, we would be allowed to go up to the balcony where the event was held. It took me and many the second time to give the best answers. It was really fun!
Waiting for their turn. =)
After playing the "battle" game, we enjoyed delicious barbecue food and spent some good time in prayer. It was my first time experiencing such sweet and Spirit-filled New Year Eve. We prayed together in tear to thank God for the 2010 and wrote down our 11 prayer requests for the 2011.
We were all excited to think of how far God will bring us in the paths of 2011.
Wonderful moment to pray for one another.

Blessed Morning Before Christmas Eve

"I have never found joy in serving God like last night" one young man shared with us in his testimony. Yes, we all find joy in serving our King, Jesus!
The joy and the excitements were still in our hearts when we ended the Christmas Crusade with around 120 non-believers. Most of us showed up in church early. We welcomed 3 new converts from the previous night come and worship God with us. We also saw 2 friends who liked the event that night come to know more about God. And it was amazing! All wanted to give testimony how the crusade night means to them.
"Joy to the world, Christ has come,. Joy to Vietnam, Christ has come. Joy to AEC, Christ has come."
An old man shared why he wanted to invite Jesus into his heart.
A young lady expressed her expectations in her new life with God.
A young man confirmed that the Holy Spirit prompted him to be God's child. He felt a great warmth and love in God's family.
